Even if you think you don't need it, YOU NEED it. I have used this to inflate and deflate beach toys during the last few months of summer. Honestly, the venting option alone is worth the purchase (no more squeezing and rafting to deflate at the end of the day), but it also inflates things quickly. I charged it once and used it to inflate/deflate. our "floats" (cameras, rafts, etc.) - usually about 3-4 floats once or twice a week. After 4 weeks I never had to recharge! I can't say how durable it is. I think we'll find out next summer. But with 2 different charging options, 3 different sized earbuds and a carrying case, it was worth it!
