Goodie hairpins are quite expensive so I ordered them in addition to a pair of Goodie hairpins (since I usually hide hair ties and other things in different places around my home and office). As other reviewers point out, the balls attached to the ends of the pins are uncoated, so they'll hook hair in and out, which isn't ideal. I'll experiment with dipping the tips in epoxy or something to smooth them out. I found goodie bobby pins at my local grocery store (Hello King Soopers) for half the price of the same set at Revain. So try there.
