Who knew something so simple could be so useful? Bought 1 of these in 2018 to use with Kindle Paperwhite and now bought as a gift in 2020. I use it as: 1) standing on my bedside table 2) turning on my Paperwhite or cell phone when sitting at my desk or next to my chair on the end table. 1) Works well for just sitting on the bedside table to hold your Kindle. I like the hole drilled in the back and the space cut out of the bracket for the cables to pass through. At first glance you might think that the anti-slip/scratch pads are a bit too thin, but they hold up very well and do what they promise. The pads on the bottom leg of this stand are also very good. The stand is non-slip and needs to be lifted to move. 2) Sometimes I take it, sit at the table near the shop window and read. It's very stable and I can turn pages while it's on the stand or hold my phone on it and swipe the screen effortlessly. The picture shows him sitting on my desk and waiting. Polygonal design is great, if you have screen reflection, just adjust it until it disappears. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a desktop stand
