Just terrible, terrible

These cables are completely useless. Each of them stopped charging my iPhone within a few weeks of going live. I am really worried that they will damage the lightning charging port on my iPad and I will have to replace it. They start up normally and shortly thereafter only work if they are inserted side up. Then they won't work with both sides up. Damn bad!
