First let me say that I hate wearing shoes in the summer. I love flip flops. But sometimes you just need a pair of shoes (to change your clothes or work in the garden, for example), so that's what I went for. And they are amazing! They are very light and very breathable. The insole is minimal and has holes for ventilation, but most of the time you walk on the sole. In this case it's good because the sole is SUPER soft. It's like walking on clouds. I also like that they are easy to attach. The upper is mostly made of mesh, so there is enough air at the top. The material is also highly flexible. (The soles too.) With a super-thin toe box, they're comfortable even in our 30-degree days. I think this is the closest thing to wearing flip flops/sandals while still covering the entire foot. However, this comes with some compromises. I wouldn't rely on them for any type of exercise as they just don't have enough support. Arch support, side support, etc. They're great for work, errands, etc., but you probably won't go to the gym with them. Second, since the soles are mostly white foam and the upper is mesh, they get *dirty*, and I mean fast. And that beautiful mesh upper? Yes, good luck cleaning. If I had to do it all over again, I would use all blacks instead of grays. But those complaints aside, I honestly still feel like this is a solid 5-star product *if you know what you're getting.* You're buying cool and comfortable shoes that probably won't last forever, but surely will give you the ultimate comfort to wrap your foot in on those hot summer days. Will I buy another pair? In any case. do I recommend them? Most likely.
