I read the reviews before buying this laptop and saw several customer reviews mentioning the ability to play various video games on it, so I thought it was perfect for simple pixel games like Stardew Valley and Terraria is. during my leisure. I downloaded this sucker and immediately noticed that it was severely limited by Microsoft's own antimalware, which was running at close to 75% CPU usage at one point. I bypassed this issue by downloading Malwarebytes instead, but still experienced some kind of choking when starting basic computer processes. So I updated Windows and decided it was time to play some games. As a simple test, I ran Stardew Valley - a low-pixel game, mind you - and encountered lag. LAG from STARDEW VALLEY. I thought something was wrong with the GPU so I used the Intel Driver & Support program to simplify the process. The moment I click the button, the download is rejected. it doesn't even give me an error code. A few days later I was about to ask Jumper for advice when I decided to run the update again and it miraculously decided it was ready to download. After the GPU and Windows were properly updated, I tried my tests again. The first thing I did was watch the Binding of Isaac Repentance stream on Steam. While the video from the stream worked reasonably well, there was at least a 5 second delay when typing in the text field. Yes. I restarted Stardew Valley to see if my lag issues went away. and now they didn't. So I tried a few other games just in case there were any issues with Stardew on this device and common sense tells me that in a slightly more advanced game like Hades the frame rate was like a European raver would dancing late into the night before a flash of this 1990s era era. Great luck. I also had intentions of making some basic changes to Adobe Illustrator on this laptop, but I won't even try after having had no luck with a VERY simple game. If you are not looking for a postal engine and ONLY a postal engine, look elsewhere; greener pastures are literally around every corner.
