The plastic is quite thick and can hold a lot of weight. That's a big plus for these types of bags, as is the fact that they're made in the USA from 50% recycled materials. However, these positives are spoiled by the number of defective bags I've encountered. The bags are supplied as a continuous roll with perforations between the bags. Some of the perforations aren't shaped properly, so the bottom doesn't always expand properly when the bag is separated. This makes it difficult to use in a container or, worse, causes the bottom seam to come loose when you try to open it properly. Some work well, but the marriage rate is too high. 2.5 stars.
