Good kit. A few questions. - Be careful

Two new motherboards. Does not matter. The laser does not start with any software. Press the laser open button and nothing. New motherboards have the same flaws as the originals. I've checked cables etc, at this point it's probably the laser itself. I'm everything. So I would like to get a refund. ** updated April 21st. The manufacturer supplies a new motherboard to make my device work again. Great communication! The engraver itself seemed to be made of a comfortable material. The build was actually pretty clear and easy to follow, but beware, there are many builds. I give this three stars in several respects. First, don't start and go. The first test I did was try to write a picture on a piece of wood. Very thick skin, but only a test. I got the laser to focus and everything seemed fine. I started the print and it immediately went back and forth in the same spot and immediately burned a straight line. Still working on figuring that out. See point 3 for more. Second, the cable management on this device will drive most OCD sufferers insane. There's just no elegant way to do this. Your wires WILL drag across the table or countertop. It might be possible to clean it up a bit beyond what they offer, but I haven't seen that. Which brings me to my third question. motherboard. I have used this laser exactly three times. It was hooked up to my new electrical system in my new garage. It is pure, solid power. I switched to a new computer to run the laser and as I did I noticed that the blue light on the laser was pulsing and each motor "tapped" on the x and y axes. The whole picture jumped as the light pulsed. A closer look revealed the culprit. An incoming power component on the Arduino motherboard popped out. He physically removed the cover from the device. So now he needs a new motherboard. All of this combined with the 1980s control you get from Engraver Master software brings it to a solid three. There are other software packages that work with it that I wanted to test before I had power issues.
