****EDIT**** I love the aquarium but the seller refused to replace the bulb in the hood. Message to seller in December shortly after we bought the unit. The seller does not support the product and refers us to the manufacturer. Any reputable seller will help replace defective parts during the warranty period. An aquarium is worth the money if you have a small space that you want to enlarge with fish. We bought this aquarium for our son's birthday and it was his first aquarium (not mine - there have been many over the years). ADVANTAGES 1) Fairly quiet waterfall noise to be expected with a filter, not annoying 2) Aquaclear filter is great quality, slightly oversized for a tank which has proven its worth 3) Seams are invisible as it's a tank deals with bow front 4) The feed slot is good and no need Open the whole tank cap to feed 5) The light is great for the plants - we bought some floating plants and they have exploded in growth 6) The kit came with extra bacteria for that Aquarium which was really nice - you can use it right away the fish VS 1) The lighting on the lid looks nice when closed but seems to collect a lot of condensation 2) As the filter is strong you will probably need a mesh attach over bottom filter inlet - if a small neon tetra is lost I didn't have a mesh covering the inlet. The hole is a rookie mistake on my part but I've had some time since I've had the tank it's ok overall cool Ankh recommendation for anyone with experience servicing a smaller tank.
