OK, maybe? (YMMV)

I received two of these cases, one just over two years ago and one just recently. My original case was all black, but the new case was grey-burgundy. The first, as you probably guessed, lasted about two years and protected my phone pretty well from many drops and bumps. The buttons were responsive, it felt solid and sturdy in the hands, and the plastic parts held up just enough that I could tilt my phone, say, against the edge of my laptop and it would stay in place. In the end, the downfall was the silicone peeling off around the lightning connector and volume buttons, with the top volume button eventually detaching almost completely - that's when I decided to buy a new case. But this new case. The materials of my new burgundy gray case seemed much cheaper and lighter right out of the box. "It's okay," I said to myself, "just put your phone in, maybe your brain is missing the extra weight of the electronics." That's not true - even after I changed the case, the new one seems cheaper, lighter, and less durable. I understand this may be desirable for some (lighter phones) so I can understand the difference; I personally just don't care. However, this new material is not only lighter than anything it is, it also has a lot less friction. Yes, it makes it easier to access from my pocket, but it leads to situations like: I placed my phone on the edge of my laptop to reduce glare from the overhead light and it fell off, slipped off the top of my desk for whole four inches with that tiny swing and kept slipping off the table and nearly hitting the floor (I caught it). Another big gripe I have is the buttons: they're now pen-sensitive and don't have nearly as good/consistent tactile feedback as when pressed (in the old case, you could always feel a tactile "click" when you pressed a button) . I took my phone out of my pocket or work bag and realized that something must have touched the buttons because either Siri was on waiting for me to say something, or my volume was on all the time. way up/down. The same thing happened when I was holding my phone, fingers apparently too - besides the buttons - suddenly when music is playing it suddenly stops or becomes completely explosive. All in all I give this product a 4/5. The original case I received was fantastic, if a little short lived (I've had otter cases that previously lasted 3-5 years, so 2 years was a bit of a disappointment), but this new case isn't the same. I have no way of knowing if this is a material difference due to a different color or if it's some kind of change over time. Definitely not a big fan. However, I will continue to use the new case and hope it protects my phone at least as well as its predecessor.
