I've tried several ways to keep my wife's and daughter's hair from clogging the drain. None of them worked perfectly. We have a pop-up drain that severely limits our options. The domed lids either didn't fit the bottom of the bathtub and hair would get caught under the water, or hair could run right through the drain holes. It would then hook onto the crossbars that support the popup. It got to the point where due to corrosion on the crossbars I couldn't unscrew the drawer and decided to try something else. I didn't want them to install anything as it was one of our biggest fights. This solved that problem. As a drain plug, it's not perfect, but it's more than adequate. A water bath left overnight will leak, but this is normal for light bathing or child bathing. Since it replaces the pop-up and you regularly take it out of the drain to clean it, we have no more debris! It made everyone a lot happier, especially me. My only complaint is that it doesn't hold the stopper very tightly. Eventually it slides down and water starts to fill the tub while showering. This doesn't always happen and the benefits outweigh this minor annoyance.
