I bought a red gloss to change the colour. It fits the Logitech MX Ergo perfectly as it is a 34mm bullet. The color was a darker red than I expected, but the increased smoothness made me forget about the color. There were reviews that spoke of a break-in period, which I felt was unnecessary after washing with a drop of dish soap and warm water. There was a feeling of something that wasn't entirely tacky but just wasn't smooth and smooth, which was settled after a quick clean. Of course, it took a few hours to get true smoothness, but not days or weeks to break in. Once that was done, the on-screen improvement was truly amazing. I don't know if my Logi Ergo ball was bad or if they are all rough under the surface. This means that upon closer inspection, the gray layer beneath the clear coat was rough and uneven, almost as if someone had tried to fill in the indentations in a golf ball. The Perixx sphere is just as smooth under the clear coat as it is on the surface, eliminating the need for precision mode as it eliminates cursor jitter. This is just my experience but I say it's worth the asking price for some reason.
