Let me start by saying that this product came undamaged AND came with the cleaner that was promised. Why this was important is explained at the end. Both the separator and the cleaner corresponded to the description. The scrub is excellent, sharp as a razor. The separator works well and I like the design that drips from the bottom. Drip and oil separation is much better than other bottom opening tunnel outlet designs. The cork should be thoroughly cleaned between uses to prevent leakage during subsequent uses. So be careful, careful and thorough. Do not shorten the cleaning time of the rubber stopper at the bottom. Now the negative. The packaging was very questionable for the delivery. The box of the product was used and it probably would have sufficed if the shipping label had been affixed to seal the edge of the box as there was a lot of bubble wrap in the box BUT. The label was placed on the hinge side of the box. I am surprised that the knife and/or separator was still in the box when I received it (Figure 1). I immediately took a picture of the box that was on my doorstep. I put both in the top rack of the dishwasher and ran a cycle to make sure they were clean. Who knows how many times it was taken out of the box during shipping. Parcel was delayed but that is probably not the supplier's fault as ALL parcels and post have been delayed in the last three weeks. Let's get back to the positive. The separator is made of heavy, thick acrylic material, not thin plastic. It is transparent and almost looks like glass, but it is not glass as described above. I would buy it again but shipping procedures need to be clarified.
