I saw my friend had hooks over the driver's headrest to hold backpacks for school. I found a cheaper version (she bought hers at a boutique) and bought it for the same purpose. I like them a lot because backpacks don't touch the ground. It's easy for my kids to pick them up in the carpool. I've also used hooks to hold my tote and other tote bags.
