First of all, they shine. So it's stupid. I wouldn't say the glow is very strong, but it is visible. I've attached a picture of the glow in very low light. Secondly, wow, they are fat! The "neon light" is so thick that the bristles of the brush are disfigured by hanging in the gel. I tried to photograph the "thickness" but couldn't capture it. Suffice to say I have hundreds of gels and have never seen anything like it. Third, thick doesn't mean highly pigmented. The pigment is naturally light, but very thin. This becomes particularly clear in the color "Blue Light”. Because the product is thick and the pigment is thin, the final product will be quite thick if you're looking for an opaque shade. Fourth, they need a top. They are not suitable for use with powder. I cured for 700 seconds and the gel is still sticky. Rubbing with alcohol does not help in the treatment. Plan a top coat on these already fat boys. Additional Notes: Yellow is a very warm color. Almost orange. I think it's much nicer than the product pictures. Auroral Gel is not as thick as the others and is very lightly pigmented, more heavily than the others. All varnishes, except "Auroral", have an almost oily texture. Thickness seems to be slowly beading off all surfaces. I would suggest curing one nail at a time to ensure the gel stays in place. Shake and mix the hell 'em up. Editor's update: I've now used all the colors. About half of them disappear completely within a few hours after application. In particular, the color "blue light". I tried this color three times. I deducted a star for that. Tl;dr: It's a cheap kit. I haven't tried any other fluorescent kits so I really can't say if they are any better or worse than others in their price range. All are usable if properly shaken and prepared. 2 stars because the brushes are usable but damaged, need a top coat to cure, and are both thick and translucent. So strange.
