Review on 6-Piece Set: ESP32 CAM Development Board with 2.4GHz WiFi, BT/BLE Module, and OV2640 Camera Module by Brian Stepp

Revainrating 1 out of 5

5 of the Top 6 DOAs in Computer Components

5 out of 6 were DOA. 1 I could go to work. 1 DOA camera. Module 1, which actually works, is very slow. When I use the same program on another computer from a different vendor, it loads a full 5 seconds slower and about 10 times slower. Acquisition speed is terrible compared to a competitor's module. Getting a module that actually works to get into the bootloader is hit and miss. Lucky when it worked on the 4th or 5th try. Recommend coming from somewhere else.

Pros
  • High Compatibility: The ESP32 camera module has an integrated 520KB SRAM, an external 4MB PSRAM, and supports UART/SPI/I2C/PWM/ADC/DAC interfaces, OV2640- and OV7670 cameras with built-in flash memory, image upload via Wi-Fi, TF card, multiple sleep modes, STA/AP/STA + AP operating mode, one-click smart configuration or AirKiss distribution network, support for serial local and remote flashing
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
