The plastic is flexible and fragile.
The plastic on the long piece of plastic that snaps onto the door is weak and bent in half when a gust of wind pushed the open (latched) door towards the van. You should make the bar thicker or stronger. It didn't break when bent in half, but now has a permanent 60 degree bend. Keep shopping.
