Christmas! As someone just getting into pixel lighting and having done some decent research (and purchases) on what it takes to run one of the programmable home light shows, I thought I'd give it a shot. At the moment it's mostly running the show, but in the future I intend to use it for testing pixel bars/lines. So far I'm satisfied. The remote control is good and the controller works as expected. I'm using 5V pixel strips and nodes (WS2812B) and was able to get 250-300 pixels with power applied. Here I encountered a problem. According to the current description, this should work with 1024 pixels. However, I suspect it's closer to 1024 channels. So while it will work for my future pixel test plans, it failed to run some pixel strips that I wanted to use for my show this year. Overall I'm still satisfied. It's fun to manipulate a few hundred pixels of light. The "downside" is that I need to set up my real controller and start sequencing this year. At least that was the goal. Let the fun begin =)
