We have an aluminum screened patio roof that attaches to the front of our home, so we added 4 of these lights per 3 foot wide soffit. They were easy to install as I removed the ventilated aluminum ceiling first. The aluminum soffit is very flimsy so I added 3/8 "OSB 12" wide and 3 feet for better support. The springs in the lanterns are very strong, so you'll need a hard blanket or support to install or remove them. We used Romex #12 for the installation as the circuit we are using has a 20 amp switch. The pin headers on the headlights easily accommodate cables of this size. The light was brighter than expected so I will replace the switch with a dimmer. These lights and junction boxes are designed for tough use and are therefore worth the money.
