The diameter (700c in my case) seems to vary widely on Schwalbe tires due to Schwalbe manufacturing tolerances. Mine was too small to fit on a rim. I put it on anyway, scratching the HED rim and ruining the hose in the process. Schwalbe's website says to use zip ties to compress a tire that's too tight so it hits the rim. It doesn't work on the curb and I don't think it would affect my tires. I have been cycling for over 40 years and have changed many tires, mostly without tools. I know it's not okay when I see it. In short, it's a dice game as to whether your Schwalbe tire is seated correctly, is too tight to fit the rim, or is so loose that it falls off at the first opportunity. .
