When I first received this pillowcase, I had serious doubts as to whether it was real silk. But everything I've read says the real challenge was taking some fibers and setting them on fire, and I didn't want to ruin my new pillowcase, so I just went ahead and used it anyway. It was soft but not as silky as I expected. However, within a month it completely fell apart. Now that it's ruined anyway, I cut off a few strands and flame tested to make sure it's real silk. And I was surprised to see that he seemed to pass the test. So I think it's real silk, maybe just not the best quality. And certainly NOT worth the price they charge when it completely falls apart in just a month!
