These belts (one black, one brown, with different interchangeable buckles) arrived quickly and were packaged well protected. They are a nice width (on the wider side, not on a thin belt) and the leather looks very nice. Cutting the belt was easy. I managed to do it with ordinary scissors. I don't know what that Kevlar core claim means, but it was easy. I made several cuts, trimming a little each time to make sure I don't cut too much. Allow yourself a little more if you think you're "growing". The straps do not have a release lever. Rather, lift the edge of the front of the buckle. I've found I've accidentally let go of it a couple of times, but the strap holds up well. I really like the multiple notches on the ratchet that allow for lots of adjustments. Overall I am very happy with the purchase.
