Review on HP W2408 24 Inch Widescreen BrightView: Enhance Your Viewing Experience with Crystal Clear Visuals by Jason Sechser

I wish there was a 4 and 1/2 rating, but since there isn't one I've rounded it up. I've been considering upgrading to a 24" monitor for a while. I've been to almost every major store to check out the screens myself. This monitor consistently stands out from the crowd with its stunning colors and clarity. Considering the price, the Revain .com is currently offering for this monitor, it was a no-brainer Pros 1. Clarity and Colors - I upgraded the Sony X-brite SDM-HS95 (also a glossy screen) My friends have always commented on how good the screen is for this unit HP is better!2.Nice looking frame - The sleek black finish is very eye-catching.3.Design is now both a plus and a minus.The upside is that it swivels, tilts in all directions and even goes vertical. If you don't have a screen up to your desk, the base is the perfect place to store your keyboard, making your desk tidy a lot easier.The game is amazing.Have d u ever heard of Oblivion? At 24 inches. Cute. No haloes at all. Cons 1. Footprint-Now I thought this might be a bigger issue than it really was. It turns out that almost all of the weight is on the front of the stand, so the back of the stand isn't really on the back of my desk. I was able to reduce the footprint from 11.5 inches to 9 inches2. Wobble - I only noticed this when I banged on the table. If you're typing very hard (e.g. manic) you may also experience shaky issues. However, I didn't have any everyday problems. Viewing angles - I think this is just a compromise to make in favor of a glossy screen. My previous monitor had a similar lack of viewing angles. If you look directly at your monitor from about 3 feet away (my setup) you won't notice it at all. oh and it's really only vertically that's the problem.
