Does not fit in a standard socket!
The holes in the metal plate are not big enough to fit over a standard socket - see photo. The photo shows that it is all the way. That means even with the back cover on the shelf, it doesn't bolt flush to the wall. The idea is great and seems pretty solid, but it's useless because it doesn't fit the purpose. Sent it back and bought a branded Lowes sanus. Sanus is very similar, costs twice as much but fits perfectly.
