I bought it for my road bike. I tried the light before installing them on the bike, the brightness is good, I would like to use them a few times before commenting on the battery life. Installation on my road bike was a little more difficult than expected. I've read comments about people breaking mounts while trying to install them, and I can see that's easy to do if you're not very careful. The bindings are a bit small for a road bike. They fit my two mountain bikes well, I recommend them for mountain bikes, but they have to design bindings specifically for road bikes. I don't recommend it for road bikes just because the mounts aren't easy to install and can slow down if you're not very careful.
