I thought this witch would have detected movement but it didn't. In order for it to speak, you must touch it, otherwise a loud sound will make it speak. That disappointed me the most. Other than that, it was a pretty decent buy for the price. Would buy again. EDIT: I wouldn't buy it again. I hung it on the porch on Sunday and the hat is already falling apart. It's only been 3 days. It shouldn't fall apart that quickly. Also, you have to firmly grip the back where the battery is located for it to do anything. Look for another witch! EDIT 2: Don't buy! I came home to my witch on earth. The hat had fallen completely off her head and the rope that held it was still hanging from the nail. The hair is barely on top of the head and the fabric "dress" is barely gathered. It was assembled with hot glue. I had to get a glue gun and glue everything back together. Very bad quality.
