Loved the versatility with my phone. I have an 6s plus with a super protective case-not Otterbox but the kind sit the silicone and the front and back plastic. I even forgot I had my phone. It didn’t bounce while running nor weigh my shorts down. I wore them thru a Spartan Stadium race with a bizillion stairs going up/down in addition to all the obstacles. Didn’t bother me, didn’t notice it. The back pocket had more room than other shorts I’ve bought. Was able to fit an energy gel and a small energy bar. Again I forgot I brought because I didn’t feel anything poking on my back. I will say they are short in length-would be nicer if it were 1/2” inseam longer but I still love the versatility. I would by again. Size is what you normally wear. I got a medium. I wear size 8 in pants
