I love my desk. Moves easily. It was pretty easy to put together, I had trouble getting a leg in. I use it for writing but I put my little air purifier on it. Not sure weight... maybe 8-10 pounds. but I put close to the side edge where there is support. I don't think I would give it more weight. The only thing I bought is black and it shows fingerprints etc. I wish I bought a different color
