Can be returned. The length corresponds to the size. The shoes are very light. The upper is very thin. Not sure if it will stand up to walking on rough terrain. The insole is paper thin and has no arch support. I was planning on changing it anyway, but it's not for everyone. Unfortunately, after I ordered, someone noticed that they are small in the toe area. You're right. Ordered 11w and they barely fit wide at the balls of the feet and then taper for the toes. Half a size up would have been better, but still not enough toe room for a trail running shoe.
