Review on Powerful Watch Repair Tool: Fafeicy Electrical Demagnetizer Set With Compass For Perfect Degaussing - 110V/220V (US Plug) by Debbie Washington

Revainrating 3 out of 5

No manual. - my new review

I accidentally bumped a Seiko mechanical watch into a strong magnet and it just started running super fast. The demagnetizer did the trick. It is not very strong and one has to take decouple the clasp on the watch to allow the back to come close or even touching the demagnetizer. There is no instruction. I had to move the watch around (up and down and sideways) to randomize the demagnetization and it took a while. The included compass needle can tell if the watch is magnetized although it points west instead of north (a rock bottom quality piece that symbolizes "made in china”). Just wait until the compass needle stops vibrating and then place the watch close to it and see if the needle position is affected. After a good ten minutes using the demagnetizer, the watch is accurate again.

Pros
  • This set also features a built-in compass, which ensures that you can easily and accurately demagnetize your watch without worrying about damaging the watch components. Whether you're a professional watchmaker or an amateur enthusiast, this tool is an excellent investment that's sure to make your life much easier
Cons
  • This demagnetizer set is only available in a 110V/220V (US Plug) configuration, limiting its usefulness for people in other parts of the world and rendering it less versatile than competing models
