Don't skimp on a cheap charger.

When it comes to wireless chargers, you really have to make sure they are of good quality, otherwise they transfer too much heat to the battery and shorten its lifespan. This is a good quality charger. I haven't tested it in summer yet, but it doesn't heat up my phone much at all. On my Galaxy S7 at 80% brightness, Google GPS and Bluetooth audio is actually a net drop of 1% every 30 seconds. Protocol. At 50% brightness, it increases by 1% every 30 minutes. Without GPS, the phone will charge like a standard charger, NOT like a fast charger. I just got a Galaxy S10e and can use GPS, audio, video chat, 80% brightness and fast charging. With all this work, maybe 15-20% in 30 minutes if I have to guess. The new phone also identifies it as a fast charger. Without GPS, I went from 39% to 58% in 20 minutes. Honda Civic 2013 WITHOUT mounting disc, but it works. It holds the phone in place perfectly, and for some reason it's easy to insert/remove with one hand. Is it expensive. If you want to save money, it's probably better to go for a wired charger. However, if you absolutely need a wireless charger in your car, you don't want to risk your battery by buying an inferior one. I recommend it. EDIT: It's getting warm, 65 F where I am right now. The choke doesn't hold securely. You need to buy a mounting plate. EDIT: It's summer now, the car is heating up to 100 F. It's holding tight to the mounting washer. Now I've noticed that this charger won't work if it gets too hot. However, as soon as the ambient temperature in my car drops to a comfortable level, charging resumes.
