Solid, very solid. You don't want to try to change it.
Looks great and is very, very thick. I bought this to cover an existing outdoor box and install a video doorbell on it which required me to cut a large hole in the center for the wires. Not the best idea! It's very thick stainless steel, so it wasn't fun to cut. Even if it looks great now.
