This particular corkscrew works much better than my old corkscrew

from another reseller. It looks very similar (and probably is) to many others that range from $6 to $30. This particular corkscrew works much better than my old one. The two stage lever works great and really helps to get the cork out of the bottle without too much effort. The corkscrew itself pulls the cork out well, although it tends to damage the cork more than my old opener. However, I have yet to experience the cork falling apart when opened, so it's no big deal. My only complaint about it is the blade. It is not cut in such a way that it is very easy to cut the case. It takes a lot of force to cut through the metal caps, while my old corkscrew didn't require much force. Maybe the blade isn't that sharp. I can not understand. Also, it's a bit difficult to pull out of the case. The spring holding it is too strong. Whenever I try to pull the blade out, I have to be careful not to cut myself if I lose my grip and the blade returns to its original position. This possibility is very real.
