Review on Aqueon QuietFlow E Internal Power Filter Large - Efficient Filtration for 40 Gallon Tanks by Sheila King

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Loved it after initial hesitation

I'm editing this after running the filter for about a year and increasing my rating from 3 to 5 stars. I continue to edit after using this for almost 2 years. .This filter is very quiet and has a very low flow rate which is great for my betta which is in a 5 gallon aquarium (I use a 3 gallon filter). I have one rooster that loves strong flow and the other doesn't. I didn't know how good this was until I got my second betta and used a different filter. Other filters I've tried make a noisy nose either during normal use or after the water has dropped below a certain level. The reason I like this one is that it's absolutely silent and even when the water evaporates a lot it doesn't get any louder. (unless it gets very low, it's just the sound of rippling water). One downside is that the lid doesn't hold up very well, but that's not a big deal. I love that it's so cheap because after a tank sickness or other issue I can just buy a new one if I need to either super clean everything or throw things away. I think I'm on my fifth or sixth right now. No problem if one of them breaks or makes noise. I only had to replace them when I was ill, as already mentioned, or when there was mold. I highly recommend this filter.
