The first thing you need to do is rinse this part inside and out. It's dirty. Some of these are remnants of stains from production, some are accumulated dust from production and storage. The second thing you need to do is attach clear plastic bumpers to all 8 corners at the top and bottom of the chest as the corners are very rough and scratching this item will most likely lead to infection. Then add furniture glides to the bottom of the item if you want to place it on a rug. Use crazy glue to attach it directly to the little black pads already on the piece. I bought this device because its dimensions fit my needs exactly; Space under an existing piece of furniture and the ONLY reason I'm not returning it is because I needed a tall drawer for unused planters, grow lights and other small electrical and plant supplies to keep them all in one place. This device should not be sold for more than forty or fifty dollars. Rustic or not, the product has small holes all over it, the top is very rough, with a high possibility of getting some splinters. Cover the top with a new carpet or similar heavy material. The whole piece is like a thorn in the finger waiting in the wings. I'll upload a photo later.
