The original course I took was in the fall of 2022 and cost me $3,800 with Wi-Fi and $3,000 without it. The image is juicy, but more often "cold"; in any event, the video editor will repair it, but I don't bother — it will do for me. I mount it on the bars of my motorcycle, sometimes on the "tail" by the brake light; plans call for reinforcing it where the footrests would be, giving the impression of motion and velocity. The dad takes it off your head or chest and uses it for fishing. The camera's protective waterproof case has helped me relax. The standard kit does not come with chest and head mounts, so you will need to acquire those separately. The manufacturer can release updates to the camera's software and the smartphone apps whenever they like (sjcam website). For this reason, I did not purchase an external charging module; however, the 4-hour process of charging two batteries is tedious. The camera can function as a webcam on a computer or a DVR in a vehicle, and its settings allow for the files to be overwritten periodically. It's possible to have 10-minute long segments, and I didn't experience any frame drop when switching between files. Ignorant of hiccups and freezes. The camera is useless for taking pictures because of the extreme field of view, which causes all subjects to appear convex. In summary, and in general, I am dissatisfied with the purchase; you can always catch interesting events on camera, but if you're debating whether to take the plunge, do so without hesitation.
