Review on Enhance Car Functionality with 99Parts Auto Black πŸš— Shark Fin Roof Mount FM/AM Radio Antenna Aerial Universal Fit by Scott Ward

Revainrating 2 out of 5

The antenna works. Glue is hard.

I'm so glad I got this today. This antenna was in the box. and loose parts (2 brass nuts and an open ended brass screw and double sided tape called MQM) without instructions. I checked by connecting the wires from the base to the antenna with 2 nuts and bolts. tightened with a flathead screwdriver and a wrench. The signal is not bad. It works out. Then I prepared the roof of the car. Wipe clean with paper towel and rubbing alcohol. The same goes for the antenna touching the car. And this is where I screwed up. First I put glue on the car and then he just freaked out. The adhesive pad somehow sticks under the antenna, but not quite. I tried to change the situation but it only made things worse. I ended up with a sticky ball. It only came with a sticky pad. I wrote to the seller, there is a phone number. I'm sure it would actually work if only I could install it properly. Let's see what will happen next. UPDATE: I contacted the seller for additional adhesive pads and was sent to Revain. So good product, it works. But you better know what you're doing because there's no customer support for that. So I'm giving it 2 stars for the lack of customer support.
