So after about 16 months and 13,500 miles I decided to replace the OEM cabin air filters on my 2018 3 LR RWD. Took about 30 minutes in total as I've already seen a video of how to do it, still more work than most cars I've ever worked on. You need to remove the 4 latches under the glove box and then remove the carpet trim on the console. The hardest part of the replacement is getting to the T-20 bolt that secures the air cleaner flap. I've included some closeups to help. You will need either a small ratchet or a flex head screwdriver as there isn't much room at the top. Once open, simply pull out the old ones and insert the new ones. These BASNOR filters appear to be about the same quality as the original filters and fit perfectly. As shown, my filters still had some life. As with most cars, I think 2 years / 20,000 world miles would be a good interval. See you soon.
