Review on 📷 Olympus Evolt E-3 10.1MP DSLR Camera: Body-Only with Mechanical Image Stabilization by Rachel Williams

First of all I would like to say that if you like the 4/3 system you will love this camera, it is by far the best camera in the system. Secondly, I have to say that this is a great system if you're a fan of gear - Olympus makes the best lenses imaginable for digital equipment, in my opinion. Now why am I saying, "If you know how to use it? The images from the E-3 and E-1 have film-like quality, almost Leica quality. The color reproduction of the E-3 matrix is excellent. And the noise (all image sensors make noise) is also quite pleasant compared to other systems. However, these qualities are only noticeable when the images are perfectly exposed and under ideal or near-perfect lighting. So if you rely on your camera to control exposure, if you don't know how to use exposure compensation, spot metering, or even manual exposure, this camera will teach you all about getting the perfect exposure have in the cell. Yes, it has the world's fastest autofocus with certain lenses, but more importantly, only in the right light, with the right subject. Too often the camera takes too long to focus or just can't find focus. If you're a photojournalist or sports photographer who relies on autofocus, then this camera isn't for you. Finally, you might be wondering why I'm giving the E-3 five stars (I'd give ten if Revain would let me). Because for the right photographer, taking the right photo, this camera is simply fantastic. I prefer to use it when traveling but it's great for fashion photography, outdoor portraits, studio work, wildlife (300mm f2.8 is equivalent to 600mm f2.8, WOW!), street photography, landscapes and cityscapes (check out the 7- 14mm f4 lens, the best wide-angle zoom ever built), and the list goes on, just not for fast sports. for everyone as a primary system and for everyone else as a supplement to an existing Canon or Nikon system.
