I always buy a thicker soft case for all my tablets to avoid damage if I drop them, which inevitably happens! I found the metal body scratched easily and showed stains in less than a week. Undoubtedly, this case will prevent it from becoming very attractive in the future. You can see through it, so if you choose to add a skin, it will be visible. It was very easy to put on and fit the device perfectly. I can consider an extra case as this isn't enough when walking on hard surfaces (wood, concrete, tile, etc.). Very well done. UPDATE: Less than a year later, I've dropped my Chromebook multiple times. The last two falls resulted in the bottom of the case partially breaking off, and since there's a chip in the corner, the back cover won't hold up. BUT and this is very important, my Chromebook was fully protected and undamaged. So for 20 dollars. Investment, it was worth it. All falls were on wooden floors and one was chest to floor so this floor performed way better than I expected! I'm glad it's still available because without it I would certainly have a damaged Chromebook and I intend to replace the bottom. Changed my rating from 4 to 5 stars as the protection was better than expected. Finally I got the Nebula (starry sky in space) skin (full sticker) under the body and with turquoise color, you can see the details and it looks really good. I understand that transparency is partly determined by color choice, but with teal you can definitely see the skin underneath. Photos have been uploaded to show full and partial coverage over the decals. You can also see it on the back where I broke it when I dropped it.
