That's a great fan! I was looking for a fan that was similar to some of the old (1990's) server fans I had salvaged and put into desktop fans. This fan is exactly the same as my own server fans, except it plugs directly into the wall without a power supply (transformer), so it's easier. It also moves a lot more air and is a little louder. I use it as a powerful desktop fan. I'm sure some people won't like it as a desktop fan because it's louder than other fans that are actually advertised as desktop fans. However, if (like me) you don't mind a little white noise while you work, then you'll be fine. Also, if you're looking for a fan that sits on your desk but moves as much air as a much larger fan, you'll love this one. Unlike most fans sold as "desktop" or "personal" fans that only create a gentle breeze, this fan actually moves air!
