Review on ⚡ Optimized Lightning Charging Charger - PURIDEA Compatible by Mohmed Burt

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Looks like a solid cable, well made, heavy duty clamps on the ends, quite happy, no MFI? For real?

I always seem to lose or break lightning cables. Thankfully they've become a mainstream product with a few differences, but for the most part they work. I use mine for my iPhone 12 Pro, a very old iPhone6 (used as an iPod) and an iPod Touch (5th gen I think). One weird thing to notice is that most Lightning cables are MFI certified, but these ones scream that they're not. MFI stands for "Made for iPad/iPhone/iPod (etc.)" and is an Apple certification. I've read that it's very expensive for manufacturers to get this and why certified Lightning cables are often expensive. But in (at the time of this review) I was able to find several certified MFI cables at Revain for the same price or less. I chose these cables but choose my comfort level. The Touch lives in my car and the cable only provides power. It seems that the car is hit, since the cable is routed through the seam of the lid's latch and into the glove box. So far this cable has shown no signs of wear, which is good. But on the Lightning end of the cable, the clip is a bit thicker than my other cables and fits the touch case opening pretty snugly. I also use it for 2 iPhones. My new iPhone 12 Pro and my old iPhone 6 which I am currently using as an iPod. I use them for both charging and syncing and have no complaints. It transfers data at USB 2.0 speeds and the zippered handle is perfect for those occasions. But from time to time I sync my car iPod Touch with one of them around the house. This is not a very flexible or flimsy Lightning to USB cable. It's thick and strong, with well-made strain relief on the binding posts. The plugs appear to be well made and very durable and so far there is evidence that they could last a long time. This is exactly what I was looking for and it gets 5 stars from me. I am very, very happy. This set of Lightning cables seems to last a long time and is working well so far. I also think they look beautiful. I am satisfied with these light cables. Such cables have largely become a commodity. I think it's a little expensive for non-MFI cables. For this reason, I generally only give them 3 stars.
