Review on Stylish Farmhouse Bread Kitchen Countertop by Heidi Harter

First I sanded and gold painted the area that says "BREAD" because it seems impossible to find a container of this size/shape that * It doesn't* say "bread" but actually I didn't want to use it as a bread box, I wanted it to store dry cat food. Which leads to the biggest issue I had with this product: it has holes in the back to allow air to circulate. . So I'd love it if you REALLY want to use it as a bread bin, but if you're looking for an airtight container, this isn't the case. I ended up caulking the holes on either side to block airflow. (Clear sealed plastic tape on the inside and blue masking tape on the outside that I painted white to match the container.) Sanding and painting this product was fairly easy and I'm mostly happy with how it looks now. Just annoyed by the misleading product information: (1) there is a picture of this product with the lid removed clearly showing the lack of holes and (2) there is a question and answer stating that this product is airtight ( which is why I bought this instead of one of dozens of other similar products at Revain).
