It's been a while since I've had a bread bin in my kitchen. Fed up with the sandwiches and bagels scattered everywhere, Finlay began to search. This one is not small, not too big, just right. It has a retro feel and fits perfectly in my kitchen island without taking up too much space. The lid also serves as a practical bread board. And how nice that the seller put such a heartfelt thank you in the package. I highly recommend this item.

Very happy with this purchase! Bought another bread box which was too small and our bread was piling up in the back and on top and it defeated the purpose of wanting a box to keep the counter looking nice. The photos show the bread box and then everything I could fit in! Very impressed and because it's taller it doesn't take up as much desk space as some. I also like that the lid is completely removable instead of having to open a hinged lid.

In general, the thing is good and does its job. I was disappointed when I opened it up to find the top scratched and the inside chipped (which is also pretty rough. Think I'll archive it). It wasn't as big as I expected either. We have a lot of bread on hand so don't let that fool you haha. First I sanded and gold painted the area that says "BREAD" because it seems impossible to find a container of this size/shape that * It doesn't* say "bread" but actually I didn't want to use it as a bread box, I wanted it to store dry cat food.
