Review on Spektrum TX USB Programming Cable by Danny Lavimodiere

This cable will not work without an adapter which is included when purchasing a separate radio but is not included when purchasing a ready to fly aircraft, e.g. on Carbon Cub RTF. The instructions don't say anything about it, I bought this cable only to find it won't fit without an adapter, which is being returned and costs about $5 (plus shipping?). I've contacted Horizon Hobby and they will send me one for free, but the website says 'ordered'. I was also warned not to update the firmware yet as Horizon has not hosted any software files on the network with this unit and updating the firmware will lose my aircraft preferences. It wasn't clear if I can reprogram this myself or not, so I'll only be using the cable to register my radio for now.
