Bought several pashminas to find the right one. I bought the Reemonde and it was very heavy and warm and definitely for people who love wool and live where it's cold. It was too heavy and too warm for me and could not be worn as a knotted scarf. I live in south Texas. I also bought MaaMgic which is very soft (the softest) and warm. It's light enough to wear as a scarf but very warm. I saved it for cold days and plane flights. I also got the SOJOS pashmina. It's lighter than the other two but still warm enough for most of the time here. This is the weight I prefer when it's warm outside but I'm about to head to a cold restaurant or grocery store. It's not as bulky as the other two, so it's a good choice with a jacket. The tube it comes in is very attractive making it a great gift. I haven't had either the MaaMgic or SOJOS long enough to comment on padding or durability, but both seem to be of good quality.
