Just got back from a ten day 2000 mile hike. and all the lights worked as they should. Although they are certainly not very bright. This is a little disappointing as I use LED bulbs in the 42-4300K range in my house and they seem to be much brighter. There is probably a 6200k area that is too blue for general use. I get used to it after being around for a few minutes, but when I want to read a book I have to turn on a lightbulb. They don't generate much heat so the lights won't melt, and they use about 10% electricity compared to a standard 1156 bulb. LEDs have come a long way, but they've gotten cheaper and cheaper in recent years, so you can apparently buy them too since they have opportunities to catch up on successes. Perhaps cool white, if any, is easier on the eyes. Even though my RV is small, I can't afford to pay $15 in bulk to get a brighter bulb. I will use them with little complaint until I find another inexpensive bulb that will provide the amount of light I need. It's the best I've found that I can afford.
