I just bought a new house that needed a little refurbishment. Conceptually these lights were perfect for my needs, but in application they were cheap junk. Let me explain that for you. What I liked: - Choice of color - Tubeless system (money saving and easy to install) - Fixings are thinner than drywall so theoretically you don't have to worry about placement as they aren't thick enough to dig into lugs caught. Why they are rubbish: - The color doesn't match. I chose the medium setting (3500K) but the colors are not the same for all lights. I had to throw away 4 of these because they definitely didn't match the others - durability/longevity. Mine blew almost immediately. After a month another one came out. After 2 months I have 2 more glasses that flicker and are already going out. LEDs should NOT burn out that quickly! That's the whole point of buying LEDs, less heat dissipation and really long life. - thick. Yes, the light fixture is technically thinner than drywall (a necessity in my buying criteria), but the screws on the top are sticking out too much so you still have to worry about the pins. I wish I knew that before I cut all the holes. Result. Do yourself a favor and stay away! I'm so annoyed because now I have to take them off the ceiling and re-insulate them against the rain in my newly renovated house.
