I could imagine someone making them for a group of young people used, use the colors to identify which child. I could see them being used for a kids picnic or even a "tea party" with soft animals. They're not as strong as I'd like, especially the harness, but I think they'll last a while. I put them in shoeboxes with other things for a charity event; For this they are sent separately in one place in the box. Six sets of dishes for the price I paid is a very good deal.
