Review on 🤺 Fencing Solution: Fi-Shock FW-00001T 1/4 Mile, 17 Gauge Spool Aluminum Wire by Jon Hill

We bought this wire to run hot wire around a small pasture and paddock to prevent horses from bumping into the non-climbing fence because the grass is ALWAYS greener. on the other side of the fence, even if there is no grass on the other side of the fence. We recently decided to completely fence in a large pasture with an electric fence as a horse fence would be very expensive for such a large area. This was the best price I found for 17 gauge aluminum wire and we were happy with the wire we used previously. Aluminum wire stretches, so it's important to incorporate tensioners into the guard to ease adjustment over time. But it doesn't rust like galvanized wire. We have a small charger but it provides enough deterrent to keep horses off the wire and dogs off the paddocks. I wanted a 1/2 mile spool, but it was cheaper to buy two 1/4 mile spools than one 1 1/2 mile spool. This can of course change.
